Dog Control Public Spaces Protection Order

Closes 17 Aug 2020

Opened 6 Jul 2020

Overview

The London Borough of Redbridge currently operates a Dog Control Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). The purpose of the PSPO was to control a number of issues which arise as a result of people failing to exercise proper control of dogs in public places.

The current PSPO is due to expire in October 2020, and the Council is now considering whether to renew the PSPO. In doing so, the Council also seeks to amend the manner in which the restrictions are worded. However the effect of the prohibitions will, if renewed, remain the same as the current prohibitions.

The current PSPO can be viewed below.
