Statement of Licensing Policy - August 2020 to July 2025

Closed 22 May 2020

Opened 6 Mar 2020

Overview

The Council is required to prepare and publish a Statement of Licensing Policy that it proposes to apply in exercising its functions under the Act every 5 years.

The revised draft proposes policies that address current licensing issues around the borough including supporting businesses, the needs for economic development and the interests of residents and other parties. It has also been prepared following the latest section 182 Statutory Guidance under the Act.

The revised policy provides a revision of the cumulative impact zones (CIZs), notably Ilford Town Centre, South Woodford and Gants Hill. You can view these zones in the maps below.

It also further aligns the draft Policy with the Council’s other key strategies and policies and introduces a range of policies to align regulation of the licensable activities with the needs of the borough’s residential, commercial and business districts.

We would like to know what you think about what we have proposed and share your views. You can read proposed Statement of Licensing Policy below.
