School Organisation Consultation - Cranbrook Primary School

Closed 10 Oct 2019

Opened 12 Sep 2019

Overview

This consultation sets out details of a proposal relating to the establishment of an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) at Cranbrook Primary School, for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Cranbrook Primary School is a four form entry (4FE) Community Primary School, which accommodates children from Year R to Year 6. The school has a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 120 and admits up to this number each year into its Year R, giving an overall capacity of 840 places for mainstream pupils.

The London Borough of Redbridge is proposing to establish an ASD ARP at Cranbrook Primary School for 12 additional pupils with an EHCP, across Year Groups 1 to 6 (2 places in each year group).

We would like to know what the community thinks about this proposal. The document below sets the proposal out in more detail.

Why We Are Consulting

This is a statutory consultation on a school organisation proposal, the relevant guidance for which can be located at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-organisation-maintained-schools

The national guidance states an expectation that consultation should last 4 weeks and this principle is applied here, in line with standard practice.
