Seven Kings Community Hub

Closed 28 Apr 2019

Opened 4 Feb 2019

The first part of the consultation is now closed. However, we have a second part survey that is now live with focus on Community Uses for Seven Kings Community Hub, seeking further views and ideas on community uses for the Seven Kings Community Hub. Please take a few moments to give us your views with this short survey.

In November 2018, Cabinet approved a vision for the establishment of Community Hubs as a means to build a stronger relationship with residents through accessible public services. The hubs will consolidate different council services into single locations within different Redbridge neighbourhoods – providing a central access point to health, social, cultural and other local resources residents need in one convenient location. Existing service provision within each hub’s catchment area will be relocated to their new state of the art community hub.

The Hubs Programmes will build six new purpose-built facilities in strategic locations at Seven Kings, Gants Hill, Wanstead, Ashton’s Playing Field, Hainault and the Ilford Civic Hub. The sites have been chosen following analysis to determine the most appropriate locations based upon ease of access, footfall and transport hubs, among other things.

View an interactive map of the proposed locations.

This consultation has been tailored for the Seven Kings Community Hub site, which covers the Seven Kings, Goodmayes, Chadwell, Newbury, Mayfield, Loxford, Clementswood and Ilford Town wards. Each site will have a bespoke questionnaire.  If you reside in another catchment area, or are interested in a site other than Seven Kings, you may wish to complete one of the surveys below when they become available:

  • Gants Hill: Summer – Autumn 2019
  • Hainault: TBC
  • Wanstead: TBC
  • Ashton’s Field Woodford: TBC
  • Civic Hub Ilford: January – December 2020

Why we are consulting

We want to work with local people to shape, design and co-produce the six community hubs. This is a chance to build stronger, more accessible Redbridge services in partnership with our residents.  This survey is part of our commitment to ensuring that residents are fully involved in the development and design of each community hub. The questions in this survey ask for your views about the Seven Kings Community Hub site and provide you an opportunity to co-produce the development of this hub.

In addition to this online survey, a variety of public focus group sessions will be held to directly understand the views of residents on developing a proposed way forward. Please check our website for details about these sessions and how to get involved, or you can leave your email address at the end of this survey.
