Overview

The Council has produced a draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This document includes information on how we consult with and involve the community on plan making, planning applications and development proposals, and neighbourhood planning, as well as our expectations of developers.

The Council is legally required to produce the Statement of Community Involvement, and is updating the document to take account of changes to the planning system, and changes to consultation practices with the increased use of technology and social media.

The Council is consulting on the draft SCI from 30 September 2019 to 6 January 2020.

You can submit your comments on the SPD by completing the on-line survey via the link below. You can also email comments to dpd@redbridge.gov.uk, or post them to the Planning Policy Team, Front Office Floor 11, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1NN.

Hard copies of the document can be accessed at the Council's main office at Lynton House, High Road, Ilford, and at the Redbridge Central Library between the hours of 9:30am and 8:00pm Monday to Friday, and 10:00am to 5.00pm on Saturdays.

The document is available to download here (PDF 1.1MB).

Why We Are Consulting

This consultation is asking residents, community groups, businesses, developers, and other stakeholders for comments on the new Statement of Community Involvement, before a final version is published.
